Wardfield’s Diary: On site with the Royal Agricultural University Shooting Team
We were delighted when we were recently invited to visit the prestigious Royal Agricultural University by their Shooting Team to demonstrate the LighGun at one of their practice days. Head of marketing Charlie Ravenhill and Connor Hawkins, who played host for the afternoon, told us that on their most popular dates, more than 80 members attend. Although we seemed to have picked a typically miserable autumn day to visit the team, we were excited to show the keen shots the LightGun and hear their opinions of our innovative new product.
We found our first audience in the clubhouse, where a few guns were seeking refuge from the drizzle. Quite a few guns were unsure on what to expect of the LightGun, having not seen it in person before. Everyone had a chance to try the LightGun and it soon became apparent that the design and concept far surpassed their preconceptions. They had great fun trying (without success!) to uproot the gun from its holster and many couldn’t believe how secure it kept the shotgun. One gun remarked; “It makes the shotgun feel like nothing at all”, and another proclaimed that “it makes life so much easier”.
Charlie and Connor then put the LightGun through its paces whilst taking us around the stands and Charlie was so impressed, he is now an Official Field Ambassador for Wardfield. We are very excited to have him on-board and look forward to watching his progress throughout the season ahead.
We’d like to thank the RAU Shooting Team for their fantastic feedback and welcoming us to their shooting ground. Find out what they’re getting up to on their Twitter and Instagram, as well as discovering the LightGun for yourself on our website.
