Wardfield’s Diary: Napthens Charity Clay Shoot

Wardfield were the proud sponsors of a Charity Clay Shoot organised by Napthens Solicitors. The event was held at The Coniston Hotel and Country Estate, which is set in the beautiful Skipton, North Yorkshire countryside.

We caught up with co founder Rachel Ward who gave her account of the day; “We began the day by meeting in the Shooting lodge where we filled our bellies with a brew and a bacon butty. After a short introduction and a safety talk, we made our way outside in our teams and smashed a few clays. We were lucky with the weather as it was a glorious day, making it an even more more enjoyable day. Afterwards we made our way up to the stunning hotel and attended the drinks reception in the Huntsman’s lodge, where we introduced the LightGun to other guests on the shoot and received a great response. After this we had a sit down meal with great food, the awards were presented and followed by a raffle and auction. We were delighted to gift a LightGun for the auction and were thrilled that it created a lot interested.

The day was a great success raising a total of £7,500 in aid of Blackburn Youth Zone. The charity provides opportunities for young people to develop a passion for something that positively changes their outlook and attitude. It’s about helping young people find an activity they are good at – it could be sports or arts – then enables them to channel their energy positively.”
